I never have to wait long before some talented member of the Zero Carb UK group comes up with another fabulous recipe!
This time it is a lovely recipe for zero carb chicken doner kebab meat from the very talented Rachel. Here is her recipe – doesn’t it look good!
Ingredients:
1 kilo chicken thigh meat, snipped into strips
1-2 tsp garlic powder
2 tbsp vinegar-based chilli sauce (such as Franks, and thanks for getting me addicted to it Chloë!)
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tbsp oregano
2 tsp paprika
1 tsp salt
½ tsp of any spice you like (yes, just pick one)
To cook:
Mix everything together. Melt your fat of choice in a frying pan, then fry the chicken. It will release water; just keep frying and stirring until all juices have evaporated and the chicken pieces are sticky and browned on the edges.
Eat, like lamb doner, with a blob of garlic dip (50/50 yoghurt & mayo with some crushed garlic mixed in).
